Etnopharmacological relevance: Fridericia platyphylla (Cham.) L.G. Lohmann is traditionally used in Brazilian folk medicine to treat kidney stones, inflammatory disorders, and cancer. Previous studies demonstrated that is major dimeric flavonoids, the brachydins, exhibit diverse biological activities, including antitumor effects.
